Christian Kane Hits iTunes

Christian Kane performed an original song he co-wrote with well known Nashville songwriter Blair Daly, “Thinking of You,” on Sunday’s hit TNT show Leverage in which he stars as Eliot Spencer. The special episode entitled “The Studio Job” scored the series’ biggest audience since its December 2008 premiere and showed gains of 35 percent over the previous week with a 45 percent gain for adults ages 25 to 54. The success of Christian’s performance on Leverage was reflected in a rush to iTunes to purchase “Thinking of You,” which peaked so far this week at #12 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart. Christian released a 5-song EP in March to meet the pent up demand from his fans for new music, which debuted at#3 on the iTunes Country Album Chart.  With the interest generated by Sunday’s episode of Leverage and Christian’s performance of “Thinking of You,” the EP has now leaped back into the #3 slot on the Country Chart.

Next month Christian will wrap up taping of the third season of Leverage in Portland, Oregon and will release his first single “The House Rules” to radio. The single is from his forthcoming full-length album due out this Fall on Bigger Picture. Christian recently invited fans to participate in shooting the music video for “The House Rules” in Portland withLeverage co-star and Academy Award Winner Timothy Hutton directing.
