Born just outside of Jackson, Mississippi
in a little town called Madison, Buddy now resides in Central Florida. Singing and performing came at an early age. His grandparents remember him standing on the kitchen table at Christmas time only 3 years old belting out George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning” at the top of his lungs. When Buddy was 13, he set out to buy his first guitar. After days of nonstop begging, his father Danny finally gave in to Buddy’s request and took Buddy down to a local guitar store.
Buddy played music for churches in high school and while in college, he started playing country songs on the back of his tailgate for anyone who would listen at a Walmart parking lot on Saturday afternoons. To his surprise, people would come up and listen. So it made perfect sense to call his EP “From the Tailgate to the Main Stage.” Below is Buddy’s performance on HTTV.
